The two are the ace Fafner pilots of the New United Nations' Human Army. She is an excellent and seasoned warrior despite her youth, a result of the war-torn life she has led.
She is originally from Dublin, Ireland, which was completely annihilated four years prior to the series. All her family slaughtered, she is taken in by Michio Hino, a Human Army soldier, who teaches her the ways of the soldier. Hardened by a lifetime of fighting, she now simply exists and follows orders, unable to act, decide, desire or do anything of her own will. When she arrives on Tatsumiya, she is at first offended and then confused by the peaceful world she encounters there. Over time, though, she begins to understand and accept peace and wants desperately to belong there.
She is assigned to live with Youko Hazama, whom she slowly opens up to. She becomes friends with Sakura and the other pilots and seems to develop some deeper interest in Kazuki. Canon represents the hope that mankind, despite having lived in a non-stop war for the past 30 years, can remember and return to a life of peace.
Canon pilots the Babylon Fafner (which is not a Nothung model like those on Tatsumiya), and later temporarily pilot the Mark Drei (III).
(Source: animeNFO, edited)",[10,27,39,52,62,72
17080,"Fafner Exodus","Soukyuu no Fafner: EXODUS","蒼穹のファフナー EXODUS","https://s4.anilist.co/file/anilistcdn/media/anime/cover/large/bx17080-snUj4m09qpXb.png","https://s4.anilist.co/file/anilistcdn/media/anime/banner/17080-gAc9WHwKuOW7.jpg",13,"WINTER",2015,73,[24,25,26
8098,"Fafner: Heaven and Earth","Soukyuu no Fafner: Dead Aggressor - Heaven and Earth","蒼穹のファフナー Dead Aggressor ~Heaven and Earth~","https://s4.anilist.co/file/anilistcdn/media/anime/cover/large/bx8098-AVGxx4gEfNkI.png","https://s4.anilist.co/file/anilistcdn/media/anime/banner/8098-aN2HrycRmKKa.jpg","MOVIE",1,"FALL",2010,72,[24,25,26
21287,30549,"Fafner Exodus 2","Soukyuu no Fafner: EXODUS 2","蒼穹のファフナー EXODUS 2","https://s4.anilist.co/file/anilistcdn/media/anime/cover/large/bx21287-ey3gaynEFqUS.png","https://s4.anilist.co/file/anilistcdn/media/anime/banner/21287-EugxMxa1mOco.jpg",74,[24,25,26
143201,50675,"Soukyuu no Fafner: BEHIND THE LINE","蒼穹のファフナー BEHIND THE LINE","https://s4.anilist.co/file/anilistcdn/media/anime/cover/large/bx143201-UZk4gT07EWb5.jpg",null,2023,65,[24,25,26
112303,32034,"Soukyuu no Fafner: Dead Aggressor - Exodus Special","Soukyuu no Fafner: Dead Aggressor - EXODUS Special","蒼穹のファフナーDead Aggressor EXODUS","https://s4.anilist.co/file/anilistcdn/media/anime/cover/large/bx112303-KKwnJEYjGpoI.png","https://s4.anilist.co/file/anilistcdn/media/anime/banner/112303-RKfpzBAnCDsJ.jpg","SPECIAL",61,[83,24,25,26],"Action"]
